Hello Friends!
I need to make a wedding quilt for my niece who just got engaged last week. The wedding is next year, but with my schedule and other sewing that I do for the shop, I need to start thinking ahead. Since I have not had to attend any weddings lately and am out of the loop on whats popular, I need some direction as to what is hip today for a wedding quilt. I always think of the traditional wedding ring, but I am not sure I want to tackle this or if a more contemporary design would be better.
Since I have weddings on the brain, I reflect back to my wedding so many years ago. My mother made my dress and we had a lovely church wedding complete the punch, cake, mints and peanuts. I hear about weddings now costing 10,000+ and giggle at that as mine probably cost less than 1,000 but it was grand for its day and the marriage has lasted all these years.
Any ideas out there for that wedding quilt, would love for you to share.
